About Mata Hari Tribal

As a young girl from Friesland (a province in the Netherlands) I had a big obsession for Mata Hari and bellydancing. I absolutely had to dance!

Years later, after a bad break-up, my mother took me to my first ever bellydance class. I liked it, but it was not what I was looking for. I craved more details in movement, different costuming, more musical variety... something...

With youtube at my fingertips I stumbled upon the fantastic Rachel Brice and I knew: This is it! Luckily an amazing teacher lived in my hometown. She started me on this journey in the land of Tribal bellydance

11 years down the road I am now studying under the fantastic teacher Themis in Amsterdam; ATS, DC tribal format and Tribal fusion.

This online store combines my love for tribal bellydance and my strong believe every woman can and should look amazing no matter the stage; be it class, living room or theatre.
